6 inch embroidery hoop artwork inspired by kelp forests.
This ocean hoop features fronds of kelp and their natural predators (sea urchins) resting on the rocky ocean floor nearby. The kelp fronds contain tiny wires stitched into the stems to allow some posing of the leaves and stems. The sea urchins spines are made from painted pins poked through from the inside of the urchin body - be careful, they're still sharp!
The hoop has 2 D-rings stitched to the back with a wire between them for easy mounting.
